Above Mean Sea Level or commonly abbreviated as AMSL is the level of the surface of one or more of Earth’s bodies of water from which heights such as elevation may be measured.

An AMSL of 104.5 will mean it is 4.5m above the sea level. Since the year 2019, most authorities in Singapore now use the term Singapore Height Datum or SHD to replace AMSL.
