Platform level of the development refers to the lowest point in the floor level of the development.
The PUB requires a stipulated Minimum Platform Level (MPL) to be observed for all new developments for flooding precautions. Ancillary areas, such as driveways, may be constructed below the MPL, subjected to the PUB’s approval.

A Professional Engineer (PE) is an engineer who holds a recognised degree in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering, and is registered as a PE with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore (PEB).
A PE has to obtain an annual practising certificate from the PEB in order to offer professional engineering works in Singapore. The development owner may be required to engage more than one PE in different engineering branches for their expertise in a development project.
